Born and raised in the coastal city of Ha Long in Viet Nam, later going to America to pursue filmmaking, Hang has been exposed to drastically different cultural and social dynamics. This nurtures an appreciation and empathy for the mundanity and the complexities of interpersonal living, which she seeks to bring to life through the most intimate and powerful of vehicles – words, sounds, and images.
